Feeling like Spring

E. WASH/N. IDAHO - It really felt like spring Saturday morning in the Lilac city, with early temperatures nestled in the mid to upper 30's. All this clear weather is coming from the same cold front that brought us rain overnight.

SR27 is closed from Oakesdale to Tekoa due to water over the roadway, from Milepost 37 to 48 in Whitman County. There is no detour available and it is unknown when the road will be reopened.

We can expect more fair conditions but there will be some changes starting this afternoon. A trough still looms behind this front and will likely resurrect some low-level moisture, feed into some thunder and possibly a few snow pellets that may scatter the area.

Saturday night we'll clear out similar to this morning, cooling things down fairly quickly.

Sunday should be an absolutely perfect day to check out Medical Lake or Liberty Lake, which are now open for business. We'll continue to lock in the clear skies and sunshine with temps not quite getting to the 50's but just about normal in the mid 40's.

Sunday night a warm front brushes us to the north. This brings some pacific moisture inland so we'll get some rain Monday. A calm drier air mass will return to us, bringing us some 50-degree readings by midweek.

The dome of high pressure will start a break down by the end of the week. So, it looks like we'll be back to rain by Late Thursday and into Friday.
