SPOKANE, Wash. - The western conference championship series was tied at 1 coming in to Mondays game between Spokane Chiefs and the Tri-Cities Americans.
Game three was played at the Spokane arena, the first two games needed two overtimes before any goals were scored.
Monday was different, the Chiefs got on the board right away. In the First period Ondrej Roman lit up the lamp, making it 1-0 Spokane.
The goal-tenders have been tough this series and Monday night was no different. Spokane's Dustin Tokarski stopped all 25 shots he faced and that's all Spokane needed, the Chiefs won 2-0.
So Spokane has a 2-1 series lead. With game four Tuesday April 22nd in Spokane.
