Chiefs lose 3-2 in overtime; Tri-Cities ties series

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs lost to the Tri-City Americans 3 - 2 in overtime Tuesday night in game 4 of the Western Conference Championship Series.  The loss ties the series at two games apiece.

In the first period the Chiefs got on the board first, with a Mitch Wahl goal, off an assist from Chris Bruton, to make it 1-0 Spokane.

It stayed that way until late in the first when Tri-City struck back.  Colton Yellow Horn scores his first goal of the series on a power play tying the score 1-1.

The Americans' weren't done yet, just 19 seconds later Jarrett Toll scores from just inside the blue line and just like that Tri-City takes a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Bill Peters and the Chiefs respond in the second.  On the power play Drayson Bowman beats Chet Pickard.  Spokane's first power play goal of the series ties the game at 2.

The Chiefs and the Americans play a scoreless third period, so once again they head to overtime for the third time in four games.  Kruise Reddick scored the game winning goal for the Americans off an errant pass from Chiefs goaltender Dustin Tokarski, making it 3-2 in overtime.

Game 5 in the series is Saturday in Kennewick.
