Shock beat Central Valley 42-40 in Cali

CALI. - The Shock were looking to improve to 4-0 in their third road game of the season Saturday night at Central Valley.

The lead was 28-7 at the half.

Tony Martin had a big second half and the Coyotes started closing the gap. But former EWU Eagle Raul Vijil fielded a kickoff in the back of the end zone, started to his left, and after a nice move at the 15 he took it the distance for his third touchdown of the day.

A little later Jason Murrietta found him wide open for another score. Vijil ended the day with 125 yards receiving and four total touchdowns.

Sergio Gilliam broke up a two- point conversion after a CV touchdown in the final seconds and Spokane hungs on for a 42-40 win.
