RATHDRUM, Idaho- Right now one man is recovering from a stab wound to his arm, after attempting to stop a home invasion robbery in his Rathdrum apartment Monday morning.

It happened in the 7100 block of west Manchester Avenue. According to police, the suspect, 20 year-old Sean McDonald, tried to enter an apartment in that block. The victim heard McDonald trying to enter and attempted to close the door on him. That's when police say McDonald stabbed the 17 year-old victim in the arm.

The vicitm was treated at the scene for a stab wound to his arm, and then released. He was later taken to an area hospital by a family member.
