The Gannon-Goldsworthy Bridge
The Gannon-Goldsworthy Bridge at Washington State University in Pullman won in the category of "Best Pedestrian Bridge".
The architect's objective was to develop an attractive structure that would have low impact on the busy Stadium Way roadway.
The entire structure, including the support columns, was all precast concrete.
Constructing the main span over Stadium Way closed the roadway for only about 4 hours, meeting the objective of reducing road closure duration.
