AquaSox cool off Spokane Indians

SPOKANE, WA - Unable to keep their bats going from Tuesday night's home opener, the Spokane Indians (1-1) fell 4-1 to the Everett Aquasox (1-1) to even the five game series at one win apiece.

Everett's pitching cooled down the Indians hot bats, with starter Walter Suriel (1-0) going seven innings, allowing just one run, 5 hits and no walks.

The Indians lone run of the night came from Eric Fry, who homered to deep right field in the bottom of the third. Fry also added a single to go 2-3 on the night.

Indians starter Martin Perez (0-1) lasted five innings, allowing three hits and three runs, two of which were unearned. Perez finished the night with a 1.80 ERA and five strikeouts.

The Indians return to Avista Stadium Thursday to continue the five game home stand against Everett.
