Indians handle last-place Yakima 6-1

SPOKANE, Wash. - It was first versus the worst in Yakima Monday night - the first-place Spokane Indians against the last place Bears.  And when the dust settled, the Indians came out on top 6-1.

The Bears took the early lead, going up 1-0 in the first inning off Anthony Smith's single.

Spokane came chaerging back, scoring three runs in the second inning, beginning with a double shot to center field from Matt West.

The Indians scored another three runs in the 8th inning to seal the win.

Spokane improved to 10-4 on the season and play at Yakima again Tuesday and Wednesday.
