Zip Trip robbed at gunpoint

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police looking for a suspect who they say robbed the Zip Trip located at 3030 E. Euclid near the corner of Market and Euclid around 9:30 Wednesday evening.  Police say the robber displayed what appeared to be a black hand gun to the clerk and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.  The suspect then reportedly ran south from the store.

Police set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and used police dogs to try and find the suspect.  They were unable to locate him and the local search was called off.  Police officers collected fingerprints and other evidence from the store to be processed.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20's, around 5'10'' with a thin build.  He was wearing a black leather cap, a greenish/grey zip up jacket, a dark t-shirt with a cross design, black shorts with brown sandals.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 911 or 242-TIPS.

    PENSACOLA (AP) - Authorities say a Florida couple left a boy alone in a trailer for about two months.    The Pensacola News Journal reports that 34-year-old Jennifer Nichols and 32-year-old Joshua Sanders were arrested Nov. 30 and charged with child neglect. Officials didn't say how old the boy was or how he was related to Nichols or Sanders.
