New Rankings on Obesity and Type Two Diabetes

The obesity epidemic is getting worse in most states -- according to a new report. Obesity rates rose in 37 states over the past year -- no states saw a decrease.

Those with the highest obesity levels are Mississippi, West Virginia and Alabama -- the lowest are Colorado, Hawaii, and Connecticut.

Experts say 20 percent of adults are now obese in every state. Obesity was defined as a b-m-i score of 30 or more.

Also on the rise: type two diabetes. The report shows diabetes levels rose in 26 states.

The nonprofit organizations Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released the report.
