3 Idaho football players charged after off-campus fight
MOSCOW, Idaho - Three University of Idaho football players have been charged with misdemeanor battery after an apparent fight at an off-campus party.
Moscow Assistant Police Chief David Duke said freshman strong safety Shelton Miles from Pomona, Calif., senior cornerback Breyon Williams from Pasadena, Calif., and sophomore wide receiver Dewey Hale from Paris, Texas, were all cited with misdemeanor battery in connection with a fight that happened early Saturday morning.
Duke said the brawl apparently began when the owner of a home where the party was being held tried to get the three to leave. The owner told police that's when the football players hit him. The man reportedly suffered minor cuts to his face and head.
A court date will be set for later this month.
