Obama scheduled for White House visit

WASHINGTON. - A decades old political rite of passage is set to take place this afternoon, when Barack Obama makes his first visit to the White House since winning the election. President Bush and first lady Laura Bush will greet Obama and his wife Michelle at the South Portico.

Mrs. Bush will give Mrs. Obama a tour of the living quarters, while the president and president-elect head to the Oval Office for a "very private" conversation.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Idaho State Police are asking for help identifying a bicyclist killed in hit and run crash on I-90 late Tuesday evening. The crash occurred shortly before 10pm Tuesday on I-90 at milepost 15.5 in Coeur d'Alene. According to Idaho State Police, an unknown vehicle struck a person on a bicycle in the westbound lane of travel.
