Casto steals the show, scores 18 in Cougs' exhibition win over LCSC
PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State Cougars had no problem beating Lewis-Clark State 76-31 in its first and only exhibition game Monday night.
The Cougars pounced quickly, jumping out to a 12-0 lead after a bucket from freshman Klay Thompson, who finished the game with eight points.
But it was another freshman who stole the show. Former Ferris standout DeAngelo Casto led all scorers with 18 points. Aron Baynes, from Australia, scored a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Washington State starts the regular season on Saturday in Pullman against Mississippi Valley State.
