SPOKANE, Wash. - For East Valley, the season came down to a 2-point conversion.  The Knights failed on the extra points with less than 5 minutes remaining in the game, and went on to fall at the hands of visiting Capital 14-13 on Saturday.

The loss put an end to East Valley's hopes of a state 3A championship.  Capital (9-3), from Olympia, will play Bellevue (12-0) on Saturday in the semi-finals.

The Knights went ahead 13-6 in the third quarter when Capital quarterback Kellen Camus was flushed out of the picket.  He broke a couple of tackles and then attempted a pass, which was tipped and then intercepted by Tim Kline.  Kline returned the pick for a touchdown.  But they didn't convert the extra point.

In the fourth quarter, Capital's Riley Wall stiff-armed his way into the end zone, and the Cougars made the two-point conversion to go up 20-19.

The Knights had one more chance to win in the closing minutes, but Capital intercepted a pass and ran out the clock to win the game.
