Gonzaga: Gibbs to undergo surgery to repair injured shoulder
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga freshman guard Grant Gibbs will undergo surgery shoulder surgery and will likely be out for the entire 2008-09 season.
The team said Monday Gibbs will need surgery to repair a torn labrum. He was injured during practice on Nov. 10. After the injury Gibbs thought he was feeling better. However, he recently found out he'll need surgery in December to repair the damage.
Gibb's setback is his second serious injury in less than a year. He broke his right wrist in January 2008 as a senior at Linn-Mar High in Iowa.
