Cougars blow out Canisius 67-41, remain perfect

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State Cougars held visiting Canisius scoreless over an 11-minute stretch in the first half and blew out the Golden Griffins 67-41.

Taylor Rochestie scored 17 points in the rout, while freshman Klay Thompson added 15.  Daven Harmeling scored 10 points to help the Cougars improve to 4-0.

The Cougars outrebounded the Golden Griffins 44-27 and forced 18 turnovers.

At one point, the Cougars led 23-9.  They went into halftime with a 39-15 lead and kept on going in the second half.

Chris Gadley, Canisius' leading scorer ended the game with 13 points.  The Golden Griffins shot just 30 percent from the field.

The Cougars' next game is Friday against Mississippi State in Newark, New Jersey for the Legends Classic.
