Former Vandal standout David Vobora became the first "Mr. Irrelevant" to start a game in the NFL in 14 years. And he did quite well, thank you.
Vobora, the last pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, recorded 5 tackles in the St. Louis Rams' loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. As a middle linebacker, he wore the defense's radio receiver in his helmet and made all the defensive calls.
The last "Mr. Irrelevant" to start in a game was Marty Moore, for the New England Patriots in 1994.
