SPOKANE, Wash. - Fresh off an impressive win over instate rival Washington State, Mark Few from Gonzaga is praising his senior point guard, Jeremy Pargo.

Pargo proved again he is a catalyst on this year's Zags team, ranked No. 4 in the country.  The senior from Chicago scored key points in the first half to keep the Bulldogs on top of the Cougars.  He flat out turned it on in the second half.

After the intermission, Pargo triggered an astonishing 27-4 run to blow the game wide open for the Zags.  He finished the game with 11 points, 10 assists and just one turnover.

"He's attacking just so much more intelligently this year," said Few about Pargo.  "He's got so much a better feel for how the game's going."

Few said what Pargo did in the second half was "spreading the wealth".  His efficient play provided Josh Heytvelt, Austin Daye opportunities to score.

"As long as I can do what I can as a point guard - getting guys shots and making things easy for guys around me - I think it's a great opportunity for us as a team to get easy wins and get easy buckets," said Pargo post-game.
