Assistance available for people with broken pipes

SPOKANE, Wash. - Plumbers all over the area continue to work overtime, thawing out and repairing broken water pipes in people's homes and businesses.

Spokane Neighborhood Action Programs is offering assistance to low income residents in Spokane County whose pipes have broken, or whose furnace needs to be repaired.  Teams that specialize in minor home repair and weatherization are available to those in need.

SNAP also asks people everywhere to be on the lookout for neighbors who may need help.

Those who need assistance can call SNAP at 509-744-3370.
