Warming Centers Activated for Friday, December 19th

Spokane area Warming Centers have been activated for the 7th night in a row.

People who need to get shelter from the harsh cold and snow can go to the following places:

  • House of Charity (accepts single men) 32 West Pacific Avenue
  • Salvation Army (families and couples) 204 E. Indiana

Although Hope House (for single women) and Crosswalk (for youth) are not activated as warming centers, they do have shelter beds open.

    SEATTLE - Deer have started using an unfinished wildlife bridge over Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass. The Northwest News Network reports the Washington State Department of Transportation on Monday celebrated the opening of a section of widened freeway there. The overcrossing is expected to reduce animal-vehicle collisions.
