Some Spokane-area government, business, and organizations reduce or change hours

Spokane City & County-related closures

  • Spokane City Hall.
  • Spokane Public Library branches.
  • Riverfront Park Atractions - Including IMAX
  • Holiday Lights Floral Display at Manito Park Gaiser Conservatory.
  • All City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Classes are cancelled.
  • Northeast Youth Center.
  • Hillyard, Sinto, Corbin, and Southside senior centers.
    Corbin Art Center.
  • Peaceful Valley Community Center.
  • Spokane County officials said all county offices and services, except for law enforcement, will be shut down on Friday.
  • Special court hearings will take place. For information, call 477-2278.
  • WA Fish & Wildlife Regional Office in Spokane Valley (closed)

AmericanWest Bank (reported Dec 19th 10:55 a.m.)

AmericanWest Bank will have reduced hours for Friday.  Spokane-area locations are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.   For more information visit www.awbank.net

Inland Northwest Blood Center (reported Dec 19th 11:18 a.m.)

INBC is closed to donors Friday but is extending hours on Saturday.  INBC needs your help. Despite being closed because of weather, the laboratory remains open providing life saving services to regional hospitals.

INBC will be open extended hours at Regional Headquarters and North Idaho locations on Saturday, December 20, from 8 am to 4 pm and will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 22, at 9 am.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - On September 21st, just before 5:30 pm Officers responded to a home in the area of Mansfield and Ash. A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Brandon Vanlanham, was assaulting her. The woman stated she had a restraining order against Vanlanham, which Police confirmed. When officers arrived to the home, they discovered that Vanlanham had fled the scene.  About two hours later the woman called

  • Coeur d’Alene armed robbery suspect arrested thanks to tips from citizens

    UPDATE: Detectives with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department were able to identify and arrest Christopher N Guinasso for the armed robbery at Jordan’s Grocery on September 20, 2017. Guinasso is a 20 year old male from Coeur d’Alene. He was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for one count of Robbery.

    PARKLAND, Wash. (AP) - An 18-month-old girl has died after she was struck by a truck in the parking lot of a church in Parkland. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says the girl was taken to a hospital late Tuesday where she died of her injuries. The department says a 35-year-old female driver had been parked in front of the Lamb of God Christian Community Church Tuesday night. After talking to a relative, the woman pulled her truck
