Zags lose Battle in Seattle, climb higher in polls

SPOKANE, Wash. - After the losing to No. 2 Connecticut in the Battle in Seattle, Gonzaga finds itself even higher in the AP Top 25 Poll on Monday. The Zags moved up one spot to No. 7.
Connecticut (10-0) remains at No. 2 behind No. 1 North Carolina (11-0).
Gonzaga lost 88-83 in overtime on Saturday, leaving them with a record of 8-2 on the season. Both Austin Daye and Matt Bouldin fouled out of the game, and Uconn made 9 more free throws than the Zags attempted.
The Bulldogs have lost the Battle in Seattle three times in a row.
