WA State Trooper nearly hit on I-90 & Deicer fumes invade plane at Sea-TacPosted: Updated:
KHQ.com is monitoring two breaking news stories right now.
Emergency crews are responding to I-90, at the bottom of Sunset Hill, where first reports were a trooper was hit while out of his vehicle investigating a slide off. We have just learned the trooper actually had to jump into a snow bank to avoid being hit. His vehicle was run into.
Shortly after this accident, a semi truck slid off of I-90 in the same location. No word yet on whether there are any injuries from that slide off.
Washington State Police have been on the bottom of Sunset Hill all morning helping motorists.
KHQ crews, on the scene, are reporting that traffic is completely backed up east bound, going into Spokane, all the way to the Spokane Airport Exit. Avoid the area right now if at all possible.
In Seattle, Deicer fumes inside a plane at Sea-Tac Airport have drawn a large emergency response of fire engines and ambulances. An airport spokesman, Perry Cooper, told KIRO-TV people on the plane reported eye irritation.
