PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State wide receiver Brandon Gibson will play in this month's Senior Bowl.
Officials for the premier college all-star game announced on Tuesday that the honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection from the 2008 season will play in the nationally televised game Jan. 24 in Mobile, Ala.
Gibson, from Rogers High School in Puyallup, is the Cougars' career leader in receiving yards with 2,756. He finished second on their career list for receptions with 182.
He is 1 of 14 players from the Pac-10 invited to the game that features the top NFL prospects, and the only one from the state of Washington.
The Senior Bowl puts draft prospects on teams coached by NFL staffs. Senior Bowl practices are scouted by more than 800 general managers, coaches, assistants scouts and front office personnel from all 32 NFL teams.
