Reward offered for Walgreens knife-point robbery suspect

SPOKANE, Wash. - Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward for information that leads to the capture of the suspect who robbed the Walgreens Pharmacy on North Argonne Road Tuesday evening.

Michael Alan Miller, a 24-year-old Coeur d'Alene, Idaho resident, is being sought on a felony count of First Degree Robbery.

On Tuesday, Miller entered the Walgreens at 2702 N. Argonne, held a knife to the chest of a customer and demanded oxycontin and methadone from pharmacy employees.

Miller fled the store to the west and was tracked by a sheriff's K-9 team to within a block of where he had been staying with a relative.

During the investigation of the robbery, Deputy Fred Morford reviewed security video and determined where Miller had touched glass at the business.  He preserved those areas until sheriff's Forensics Specialist Lori Preuninger could lift the latent prints that were later identified as belonging to the suspect.

Michael Miller is a wanted criminal suspect who is avoiding capture by police.  This makes him potentially dangerous, and he should only be contacted by law enforcement professionals.

Persons with information regarding this fugitive's whereabouts should call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or should forward the tip via the Internet website www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org.

Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash fugitive reward, but should provide the operator with a code name or number.
