Zags come back, ranked in AP Top 25 again

SPOKANE, Wash. - Four straight wins have put the Gonzaga Bulldogs back into the AP Top 25.  The Zags are now ranked No. 23.

The Zags (12-4, 3-0) dropped out two weeks ago after loses to Connecticut, Portland State, Utah.  But wins over Tennessee and Portland, coupled with blowouts against Santa Clara and San Francisco, convinced voters to put the team from Spokane back on the list.

Gonzaga finds itself four sports head of another West Coast Conference contender, Saint Mary's.  The Gaels (17-1) are No. 27 in the AP poll, and No. 22 in the USAToday/ESPN coaches poll.  The Zags are No. 28 in the coaches poll.

After playing three straight games at home, the Zags go on the road to play at Pepperdine on Thursday, followed by a game at Loyola Marymount on Saturday.  The Bulldogs' next home game is January 29 against Saint Mary's.
