Armed robbery at South Hill Walgreen's

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police Officers are looking for a suspect in yet another Walgreens robbery. This one took place late Wednesday night, just after 10 at the Walgreens on Spokane's South Hill at 29th and Grand.

Officers say a white male entered the store with his face covered and walked immediately back to the pharmacy. Once he got there, he jumped over the counter and forced two employees into a backroom. He then brandished a hunting knife and demanded they show him where the narcotic painkiller Oxycontin was kept.

After they showed him, he grabbed at least two bottles of the drug and then immediately left the store out the front door. The suspect left the store on foot and no vehicle was seen.

No one was injured in the robbery. Officers showed up shortly after and began searching the area for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a young man, in his 20s, white, about 5'8" - 5'10", with short dark hair. He has a thin build. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt with 'volcom' lettering on the front.

If you have any information you're being asked to call either 911 or the Crime Check hotline. That number is (509) 456-2233.
