University wrestles 'Bone' away from Central Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - It was a packed house at Central Valley High School Wednesday night as the Bears took on University in the "Battle of the Bone" wrestling match.

In the opening match in the 112-pound class, Central Valley's Jaron Maynes earned a 2-point takedown on Tyler Clark.  Maynes got the 3-1 decision for his team.

After a U-High win at 119, Brandon Byers kept things rolling for the Titans at 125.  His 2-point takedown of Tyler Ames led to another decision in favor of University.

In the 130-class Central Valley's Trevor DelMedico took down Mitch Bell to finish the contest tied at 28.  But University won on criteria, winning 8 of 14 matches.
