PULLMAN, Wash. - After two straight home losses from middle-of-the-pack PAC-10 teams, the Washington State Cougars hit the road to face one of the hottest teams in the country.

The Cougars play at No. 14 Arizona State (16-3) on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

"It'll be challenging," said the Cougars coach Tony Bennett.  "We're going to play one of the best teams in the conference that really jams up the zone and bothers people, and makes it hard to score."

Facing a team like the Sun Devils makes one wonder whether the struggling Cougars can play on the same level.

"We'll see," commented Bennett.  "Will our guys hang in there?  Will they scrap?  Will they fight?"

After playing Arizona State, the Cougars play at Arizona on Saturday.  They play two more games on the road (Stanford and Cal) before heading back home on Feb. 12 against Oregon.
