SPOKANE, Wash. - Now's the time to step up the level of play if you're Washington State.  The Cougars begin the second half of their PAC-10 season Thursday with a road trip to Stanford.

The Cougars travel to Palo Alto knowing they've done it before; they can do it again.  The last time the crimson played the Cardinal was back in January.  Washington State won 55-54, earning their first conference win of the season.

A win Thursday would get the Cougars (12-9, 4-5) back to .500 in conference play.

Stanford (13-6, 3-6) is struggling to keep things together in the PAC-10.

Tipoff for Thursday's game is 7:30 p.m.
