SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs get a couple days off after dropping two of their last three games to top tier teams, including a 2-1 loss to Kelowna at Spokane Arena.

Colin Long scored twice for the Rockets, once shorthanded in the first and on a power play in the third.

The Chiefs tied the game at 15:00 in the second when Ondrej Roman found Jared Spurgeon cutting down the slot.  It was Spurgeon's 9th goal of the year.  They seemingly tied the game when Roman hit shot into the net.  But officials waved it off when the goal came off its moorings.

Spokane will travel twice this week.  They play Wednesday at Everett, and then at Portland on Friday.  They return to Spokane for a Saturday game against Edmonton, followed by Prince George on Sunday.
