Cusick edges past Rosalia

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -  Louie Bluff's basket with 55 seconds left pushed Cusick into the lead for good, and the Panthers held on for a 39-35 victory over Rosalia in the first round of the Class 1B boys state tournament on Wednesday.

Tyler Edwards finished with nine points and sealed the win with a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left. Teammate Spencer Shanholtzer led Cusick with 10 points.

Jim Maley paced Rosalia with 14 points and 12 rebounds, but he was held to just two points in the second half.
