Colton Girls Roll past Sprague-Harrington
YAKIMA, Wash. - Courtney Druffel scored 13 points and Kelsey Moser chipped in 10 as undefeated Colton cruised past Sprague-Harrington 65-15 on Thursday in a Class 1B girls state quarterfinal game.
Colton jumped out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and was never threatened. All 12 Wildcat players scored, and each played at least six minutes in the rout.
Druffel hit 4 of 8 3-pointers. Moser pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, and teammate Mollie Kramer added eight rebounds. Colton's defense came away with 16 steals, including five by Mikayla Nygreen, and pressured the Falcons into 28 turnovers. The Wildcats converted those miscues into 28 points.
