Moses Lake Christian drops Curlew boys

YAKIMA, Wash. - Riggs Yarbro scored a game-high 26 points and Adrian Moffet added 15 as top-ranked Moses Lake Christian pulled away from Curlew for a 60-43 win in the Class 1B boys state quarterfinals Thursday.

Yarbro hit 10 of 15 shots and 6 of 7 free throws. He scored five of his 16 second-half points during a 12-4 run midway through the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach.

Isaac Murrell chipped in 11 points for the Lions, including a trio of 3-pointers. Moses Lake Christian dominated the backboards, 41-27. Yarbro pulled down 15, including 10 offensive rebounds.

Jordon Wakefield paced the Cougars (19-6) with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
