LAS VEGAS - The Gonzaga women won their second WCC Tournament in three years, beating the San Diego Torreros 66-55 in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon.
Four Zags scored in double figures. Heather Bowman led the way for the Zags, scoring 16 points on 4-of-9 shooting. Janelle Bekkering added 14, Vivian Frieson 11 and Courtney Vandersloot scored 10 to go along with her 10 assists.
Kelly Bowen came off the bench to score 15 for the Zags.
Gonzaga shot better than 53 percent from beyond the 3-point line, while the Torreros made just 2-of-13 from beyond the arc. As a team, San Diego shot a lowly 35 percent from the field, while the Zags shot 42 percent.
