Thursday's Weather Update: Stormy & Messy Night at Times

Flash Flood Watch until Friday night for the wildfire burn-scarred slopes in the east slopes of the Cascades that may receive heavy rainfall & produce fast runoff

Evening/Overnight: A vigorous disturbance dives from British Columbia into Washington…Passing showers and a thunderstorm may pass through the Spokane/Cda area. The harshest thunderstorms (continuous lightning, heavy rain & small hail) should continue erupting just north of Highway 2 most of the night

Friday: Could be quite rowdy & damp at times…Mostly cloudy with numerous showers, widespread thunder & lightning, and breezy winds… Low/High 55°/75°

Weekend Outlook: It's tamer by Saturday as most of the wet weather moves eastward through Idaho. The metro area will remain a bit cloudy & breezy with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70's. On Sunday, afternoon thunderstorms & showers are expected to develop in the neighboring counties of NE WA & the Idaho Panhandle.

FYI: Did it seem like you got more freckles during the summer?  It might've appeared that way, but it's more likely the ones you already had just got darker & more visible. Exposure to the sun triggers the release of a brown skin pigment called melanin which helps scatter the sun's rays more efficiently
