SPOKANE, Wash. - The northwest has a high rate of people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Doctors say it’s in part because we have a large population of people from northern European descent living here and because there's not an abundance of vitamin D in this region, along with several other factors.

In the latest Keeping Vigil, an early diagnosis of this debilitating disease is giving one woman a strength she never knew she had, and hope to find a cure within her lifetime.
