20-year-old woman killed in early morning DUI crash

Washington State Patrol investigators say a 20-year-old woman is dead and a  20-year-old man is in the hospital after a DUI crash early Saturday morning.

Troopers say 20-year-old Chance Quesnell was driving a Kia Optima with her passenger, 20-year-old Brayden Whiteside, southbound on Highway 2 when 41-year-old Christopher McIlveen crossed the center line in his Ford F350 and hit them head on.

Quesnell was pronounced dead at the scene while Whiteside was transported to Sacred heart Medical Center with injuries. He is listed in satisfactory condition.

McIlveen was also injured and taken to Deaconess Medical Center for treatment.

Troopers have determined the cause of the crash to be DUI and McIlveen faces charges of vehicular homicide.
