Update: Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives took a man into custody early Sunday morning in connection to a shooting that happened Saturday night in the 400 block of west Central in north Spokane.
During the investigation, detectives quickly developed information suggesting a person of interest in the shooting. Less than eight hours after the original call, at around 3:30 Sunday morning, police arrested 43-year-old Brian L. Hall. He was booked into jail for 1st degree murder.
The Spokane Police report the Major Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide that happened in the 400 block of west Central Saturday night.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting at around 8 p.m. Police found a man dead at a house in the neighborhood. The Major Crimes Unit was then called in to assist in the investigation. Police think the man died of a gunshot wound and detectives do not believe the shooting was random. Detectives remained on the scene of the shooting until late Saturday night.
The victim's name and manner of death will be released following the Medical Examiner's report.
