SPOKANE, Wash. - The City of Spokane has given the homeless camping outside City Hall 48 hours to vacate the property.
A notice was posted at the tent city, known as Camp Hope, Thursday notifying campers that they had until Dec. 8 at 2:15 p.m. to leave the property before items are removed and destroyed.
The camp has been set up at the location since Nov. 28.
The City of Spokane also announced Thursday that the newest warming center will be opening on Friday at the Salem Lutheran Church in the West Central neighborhood.
The center will have space for up to 60 men and women.
The opening follows the addition of a warming center on West Cannon that occurred on Dec. 1, which can accommodate up to 40 people.
