Pedestrian dies after being run over by street sweeper


The Chelan County Sheriff's Office says they've found the pickup truck they believe hit and killed a 50-year-old Brewster bicyclist over the weekend. 

The pickup was found abandoned in an orchard. The truck was taken to Wenatchee for further analysis. No suspects have been arrested.

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office is searching for the driver of a pickup truck who hit and killed a 50-year-old bicyclist near the Chelan Airport on Saturday. 

Deputies say 50-year-old Gary Knowlton of Brewster was riding his bike on Apple Acres Road near the airport when he was run down from behind by what is believed to be a red truck. The truck fled the scene. 

Deputies are searching for a red pickup with front end damage and possibly a broken windshield.
