Three years ago, CD graduated from Mead High School, wearing a cap and gown. He still roams the halls with students, sits with them at lunch, and goes to math class with them.
For the past fifteen years, CD the German Shepard mix has been a staple at Mead High School. His owner, Randy Mickelsen, says they found him at their annual leadership camp. He was a stray puppy, and hungry. The students fed him and took care of him. When they got on the bus to leave, he says, CD followed them on, and took a seat. The rest is history.
The students say they love having CD around.
"It's actually a comfort," Mickelsen said. "He is one amazing animal."
