With the first wave of election results just hours away, both campaigns for the 5th Congressional District are making the final push to get those last minute votes.
But staff and volunteers for Lisa Brown had a minor delay this morning when they couldn't get inside the campaign headquarters.
The doorknobs at the downtown office had super glue inside of them - making it impossible to get in the building.
A spokesperson for Brown says they don't know who is responsible but believe the motive was to intimidate voters.
Jared Powell, Press Secretary for Cathy McMorris Rodgers, released the following statement:
“It’s very disappointing to see the level of vandalism and divisiveness this campaign year—which our campaign has also weathered. Cathy and our team continue to work to bridge divides and bring people in our community together, and condemn these acts which have no place in Eastern Washington politics.”
A crime check report was filed with the Spokane Police Department, according to Brown's campaign.
A locksmith replaced the locks at the campaign office.
