Spokane Police: Woman escapes after being held at knife-point on Centennial Trail

Update: Firefighters now say a fire burning in Douglas County has grown to 550 acres in size.

The Road 9 Fire is burning about 1 and a half miles west of Highway 17 and south of Highway 172.

As of 5 p.m., there are no homes threatened and no road closures as a result of the fire.

Douglas County Fire crews are fighting a fire in the Mansfield area Wednesday afternoon.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the fire is burning west of Road P NE and north of Road 9 NE and has burned an estimated 100 acres.

There are no structures threatened and no road closures at this time. 

Douglas County Fire Districts 3 and 5 and Chelan County Fire District 7 are on scene working to bring the fire under control. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
