The highly-anticipated Nike Factory Store in Downtown Spokane will officially open its doors on Thursday, June 14.
According to our partners at The Spokesman-Review, Nike will be the major tenant in the building at 618 W. Main Ave. Now known as The M, the building is being converted for residential, retail and office use. The building was formerly a Macy’s, as the historic downtown store closed in 2016 as part of a series of store closures nationwide.
The store will offer a combination of outlet and the latest, full-priced items – normally only sold at the company’s Niketown stores.
Nike is one of the official sponsors of Spokane Hoopfest, putting the store in line to be open just over two weeks before Hoopfest 2018 is contested on June 30-July 1.
The retail space is more than 12,000 square feet in size, and plans called for an 18-foot-high ceiling on the first floor with a mezzanine on the second. The Spokane store will be Nike’s first that is east of the Cascades in Washington.
