Early Sunday Morning Fire Causes $35K In Damages

SPOKANE, Wash.- An early Sunday morning fire causes $35,000 in damages.  The fire happened on the 1400 block of West Mallon just before 1 a.m.  Fire crews arrived on scene within minutes.

Press Release: On Sunday, April 13 at 00:47 the Spokane Fire Department responded 4 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Heavy Rescue, and 2 Battalion Chiefs to a reported structure fire and SE3 arrived within 3 minutes and reported a garage and two exposures on fire, SE3 advanced a lead to protect the exposures and to extinguish the garage fire. As additional companies arrived on-scene they advanced a second hose lead to assist with fire attack and structure protection and connected a water supply hose line to the hydrant. The quick attack diminished the fire in the garage, and the fire on the outside of the two exposures were also extinguished. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause is under investigation by SIU
