Puttin’ On the Ritz

Puttin’ On The Ritz, presented by Spokane Symphony Associates and Bozzi Media, Inc., will provide the glamor and glitter of New Year’s Eve in the Grand Pennington Ballroom and Hall of Doges of Spokane’s historic Davenport Hotel on Dec. 31, 2015 from 9 pm to 1 am, $85 each with no host bar. Dance and experience an exciting and diverse selection of music played by Master Class Jazz Orchestra. Enjoy live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes, late night fare, midnight champagne toast and more at the most exciting New Year’s Eve celebration in Spokane!  Black tie is optional. Proceeds benefit the Spokane Symphony. Also enjoy Spokane Symphony’s Beethoven's 9th performance prior to Puttin' on the Ritz.  It's at the Historic Davenport Hotel.

First Day Hikes

Want to spend the first day of the new year outside? This year, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is making it easy. Twenty-five state parks are offering guided hikes that range from nature strolls along the coast to dog-friendly forest hikes to snowshoe adventures.

Participants of all ages are welcome, unless otherwise noted, and admission to state parks is free on January 1! Typically, the Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to state parks. 

Mount Spokane State Park – 10am

Riverside State Park – 1pm
