Fire at Spokane Valley Mall

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane Valley fire crews responded to the scene of a fire at the Spokane Valley Mall just before 7 a.m.  Fire dispatch says eight or nine engines are on scene right now. 

According to fire dispatchers, the fire broke out on the second level of the Mall's theater. Crews at the scene say the fire likely started because a flurescent light shorted out. The fire damaged at least two stores in the mall that will be closed on Monday.

The rest of the mall will remain open. No injuries to report in this incident. Fire crews remained on scene throughout the morning.
