SPOKANE, Wash. - Crews are continuing to work to repair a broken water main at 9th and Ivory.

According to the City of Spokane, it is a broken 6-inch, cast-iron main. Water will be back on to affect homes Thursday night. 

Street repairs will be planned for Friday.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Along with everything else going on, a fire engine has gotten stuck in a sink hole at 9th and Ivory. 

Crews on the scene say the truck was responding to help find a water main break there. They weren't sure where it was and ended up driving right over it and the asphalt collapsed under the truck. 

There is now a "very large," tow truck en route to pull the fire engine out. 

People are being asked to avoid the area for now and water has been shut off.
