FIRST ON KHQ: Man Shot In The Face And Chest In Ferry County; Suspect Still On The Loose

On Tuesday, the Ferry County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting that happened on Bacon Creek and Rose Valley Road. 

When deputies arrived they found one man, Andrew Becklin, had been shot in the face and chest with a shotgun by an unknown person who fled the scene and escaped into the mountains. 

The Ferry County Sheriff's Office has a person of interest and are currently searching the area to try and locate the subject. 

A press release issued by the Ferry County Sheriff's Office Tuesday night did not specify the condition of the victim. 

Right now the Ferry County Sheriff's Office is receiving assistance from the Republic Police Department, the United States Border Patrol and the Washington State Police.
